I suppose I should introduce myself, I'm Alex Jane Tanton (if you haven't already guessed!) I am a 28 Year Old Wedding Photographer and Early Career Primary School Teacher and a Yorkshire lass!

A little of my past...
​
I have done my fair share of studying over the past 10 years. With a Foundation degree in Art and Design from Hull College, I then went on and graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA Hons in Fine Art Photography and then an MA in Fine Art Photography.
​
It was a long 5 years of intense study... so I took some time away and delved into the world of work....yey... or not!
​
At the age of 28 after a few jobs that did not live up to expectations, (surprise, surprise!) I turned my focus into teaching, a path I have wanted to take for many years, and I am currently studying my PGCE with QTS Primary 5-11 at the University of Hull. Now we are up to the present lets talk about the photography... which I suppose is why your really here!

Photography and Weddings...
​
I love weddings! I know its cliche, everyone loves a wedding. But as much as I enjoy drinking my way through the free bar and dancing to YMCA, I love capturing weddings. The feel, vibe, essence, family and friends and of course all the 'lovey dovey' moments fill me with so much joy.
​
I am your typical bubbly, fun and creative photographer who will always tell you to "smile and pretend you all love each other!" or "go on give them a cheeky snog!" No matter what you want I will capture the moment.
​
From Churches to Registry Offices, converted barns to outdoors, you pick the location and I'll be there to capture it. From staged family shots to secret shots as a couple whatever the request I will deliver.

And trust me, I will capture all your quirky dance moves!!
